Instructor Conduct You Can Rely On

All of our classes are in plain view for all parents to see. We have nothing to hide.

In our classes, males are partnered with males and females are partnered with females. Girls do not have to touch the boys and vice versa.

Children are children. They need to be reminded of clear standards every single class. This is especially true in a martial arts school with grappling and limited striking.

It takes one minute and it makes a massive difference.

In 80% of cases, the instructor praising what some students are doing right, instead of punishing or criticizing students doing something wrong, is more effective.

So we always try to start with positivity instead of negativity.

Background checks are not perfect. They cannot catch everything. But they can catch a lot. All of our instructors are formally background checked to help us account for a clean and safe legal track record.

All of our instructors are human beings. That means they will make mistakes. We simply always seek improvement to limit those mistakes in the future.

Furthermore, please understand that we also can’t please everyone.

We have the highest of standards when it comes to professionalism. But we do not grant exceptions beyond these standards.

The data regarding kids busting each other’s heads with punches and kicks are positively clear: It’s ill advised.

Only students ages 18+ engage in head contact at Legacy22.

Now, the kids still get to fight hard via grappling and some controlled body striking. But we’re not going to sacrifice the health of young children at the alter of marginally boosting their self-defense skills.
